In 2021 it was estimated that around 82 million people used vaporisers worldwide. Vaporisers were only popularised after the year 2003 – but have since become ubiquitous devices that can be seen on every city street. Within the vaporiser family, there is a surprisingly diverse list of devices. In this article, the following sections will go over the most commonly used types of vaporiser pens.

E-cigarettes

E-cigarettes are vaporisers designed to look and feel as much like a traditional straight cigarette as possible. E-cigarettes were the first commercially successful kind of vape. They were created by the Chinese inventor Hon Lik all the way back in 2003. Lik was a nicotine addict and wanted to find a way of curbing his need for cigarettes. Lik was an immensely important inventor, but the fruits of his labour were arguably twisted and stolen by big tobacco companies who rushed to purchase vape companies so that they could retain large portions of the nicotine-addicted market. But what became of Hon Lik’s cigarette addiction? Unfortunately, the visionary inventor has admitted that he still smokes and vapes. Can’t win them all, eh?

Disposable

Some vaporisers are not designed to be refilled or recharged. In addition to refillable and reusable vapes, disposable nicotine vapes have become immensely popular in recent years, as they are easy and affordable to buy, as well as use and dispose of. While some are concerned about their disposal, contrary to popular belief, there are ways of safely recycling these objects, which contain precious metals.

CBD

CBD – which is an abbreviation of cannabidiol – is a compound found in both cannabis and hemp plants. Unlike THC, it has almost no psychoactive effects on the human brain. Although research is still ongoing into CBD and its potential effects, many people all around the world consume it – some regularly, some occasionally. It is also important to note that CBD is not legal in every single country. However, many countries have legalised it and have begun to properly and safely regulate the CBD industry, which is good news for CBD consumers.

People can consume CBD in an array of different ways, and many have their own reasons for doing so. But one of the most popular ways of taking CBD is by vaping it. CBD-infused vaporiser liquids have become extremely widespread among those who enjoy taking CBD. In recent years, companies like Supreme CBD have released disposable CBD vapes designed for temporary use.

Dry Herb

Dry herb vaporisers can be used for smoking tobacco and various other ingredients without having to create a tincture solution. These devices are popular with people that want a discreet way of smoking, although their use with cannabis is illegal in the United Kingdom and many other countries. Dry herb vapes are more complicated than liquid vaporisers, and are, therefore, usually a great deal more expensive.

Pods

Pod vapes are a type of electronic cigarette that use pre-filled or refillable pods, also known as cartridges. They are designed to be easy to use, easy to refill, and portable, making them popular among smokers looking to switch from traditional cigarettes to vaping. Pod vapes typically have a sleek, compact design and use a battery-powered heating element to vaporise the liquid in the pod.
