Lovell at “Apprenticeships Work” careers fair

Regional partnerships developer Lovell recently attended a live “Apprenticeships Work” event held by Careers Wales.

Careers Wales is a Government organisation that offers professional career planning. The event took place on Thursday 9th March at City Hall in Cardiff and was attended by lots of pupils from years 10, 11, 12 and 13, in addition to students from FE Colleges, who were able to view exhibits from over 80 employers.

The purpose of the event was to provide education and information to the students about the benefits of apprenticeships, as well as the range of careers and sectors that provide them. Anna

Tarnowiecki, Technical Graduate for Lovell and Meriel Gough, Community Development Co-ordinator, both attended the event on behalf of the company and were able to talk to lots of students about their career goals and how an apprentice position with Lovell could help them meet those aspirations.

Gemma Clissett, regional partnerships director at Lovell, said: “ We were delighted to have the opportunity to attend this event. Apprenticeships are an excellent opportunity for young people to get their start in a sector they’re passionate about, and we have always been very impressed by the talent we have acquired through providing them.

“We hope that the students were encouraged by the information and advice we provided, and we look forward to attending more events like this in the future.”
