Cwm Gwendraeth Tractor Run Group’s Christmas Tractor Run raised a fantastic £2,165.47 for the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) and Cilgerran Ward at Glangwili Hospital.

The tractor run took place on 3rd December 2022. Over 30 tractors, an elf on a bike and Santa in his sleigh started the run in Pontyberem and travelled around the local villages within the Gwendraeth Valley community.

Anwen Davies, one of the organisers of the event, said: “We were overwhelmed by the support on the night, the number of people on the roadside waving us by was amazing!

“We’d like to say a massive thank you to all who donated and helped out with organising the event including the local businesses who supported the event programme, Pontyberem School, the marshals and Anne and Emily who collected donations along the way.”

Nicola Llewelyn, Head of Hywel Dda Health Charities, the official charity of Hywel Dda University Health Board, said: “We want to say a massive thank you to Cwm Gwendraeth Tractor Run Group for organising this Christmas fundraiser in support of SCBU and Cilgerran Ward.

“The support of our local communities enables us to provide services over and above what the NHS can provide in the three counties of Hywel Dda and we are extremely grateful for every donation we receive.”
