Investigators Appeal for Information on Dead Dog Found Near Llangyfelach, Swansea

Swansea, UK, 11 April 2023

The Animal Welfare Investigations Project (AWIP) is appealing for information regarding the tragic discovery of a dead dog found on the B489 near Llangyfelach, Swansea.

The 2-year old American Bully-type dog was found on Monday, April 10, 2023, wrapped in two plastic Swansea Council recycling bags and dumped on the roadside.

A concerned member of the public discovered the dog and reported the incident to AWIP. Despite conducting local enquiries, no reasonable lines of enquiry have been revealed and there is no CCTV footage available from the area.

AWIP is now urging anyone with first-hand information about the circumstances surrounding the dog’s death and the disposal of its body to come forward.

An undercover investigator from AWIP, who cannot be named due to the covert nature of their work, said, “We are deeply saddened by this tragic incident and urge anyone with information to contact us.

“No piece of information is too small. The individual(s) responsible for this act must be held accountable, and we need the public’s help to achieve that.”

If you have any information about this incident, please contact the Animal Welfare Investigations Project through their website at www.awip.org.uk or by telephone on 020 8895 6695.
