Cardiff has come out on top as the UK city with the highest density of beer gardens.
As soon as blue skies hit the UK, one thing is guaranteed; beer garden benches will swiftly be occupied as Brits flock to enjoy a pint in the sun. However, warm and sunny weather is hardly the UK’s forte, meaning that beer gardens are often few and far between in many cities across the country.
To find out where in the UK has the highest density of beer gardens, KingCasinoBonus.uk have crunched the numbers to rank the top ten largest cities in the country accordingly.
Ten cities with the highest estimated population were investigated, and the number of beer gardens in each city centre was sourced using Google Maps.
Cardiff came out on top as the city with the highest proportion of beer gardens, respective to the population, where there is an estimated one beer garden for every 6,044 people.
Edinburgh was not far behind ranking in second place, and Leeds placed in third.

Commenting on the data, a spokesperson from KingCasinoBonus.uk said:
“It’s no secret that Brits love a beer garden. Even on a chilly day, if the sun is out you can guarantee that beer gardens will fill up within hours, with Brits flocking to enjoy a pint beneath blue skies. However, British weather is typically cold and grey, meaning that having a beer garden on every corner would be pointless and in some cities, they can be a rarity altogether.”
“Ahead of the warm weather we’re expecting to see soon in the UK, we analysed the ten largest UK cities to determine which has the highest number of beer gardens per person. Our findings show that it is Cardiff which takes the top spot, perfect for people who love an alfresco beverage and don’t want to be fighting for seats this summer.”
“On the other hand, when the sun appears, Londoners will have to leg it to their local beer garden to try to secure a spot. With an estimated one beer garden for 64,474 people, locals better get in line now! ”
KingCasinoBonus.uk has released the data to uncover where in the UK you’re most likely to run into, and get a seat at, a beer garden.
