Travelzoo’s top selling holiday packages for under £500 are helping consumers jet off this summer.

Holidaymakers who are keen to getaway this summer but have a limited budget to spend on their next holiday should use Travelzoo’s top tips for bagging a bargain before booking.

Travelzoo, a global Internet media company that provides exclusive offers and experiences for members has collated its top tips from those in the know, the Deal Experts.

  • Consider signing up to deals websites such as Travelzoo who do all the hard work for the consumer. They shop around for the best deals and often have member exclusive perks which aren’t available anywhere else.  Travelzoo releases its weekly Top 20 every Wednesday which is filled with incredible, exclusive deals.
  • Consider all-inclusive. Money spent up front at the time of booking creates less pressure on what you may need to spend whilst on holiday.
  • Cities Breaks – staying a Sunday through to Thursday night instead of Saturday brings the price right down and offers the best possible chance for an upgrade.
  • Be open to ideas – if you are not dead set on one destination then shop around for deals available to similar destinations. There are many undiscovered beaches in Bulgaria or Turkey. And less crowds to boot.
  • Book early – Benefit from early booking offers and incentives that are designed to pique interest. If you are able and happy to plan, then it pays to.
  • Be flexible – if you aren’t wedded to specific dates or specific airports it is easier to find the best deals.
  • Try something new – many of the traditional holiday destinations come with higher price tags as there is more demand for these trips.  Consumers can find some great holiday bargains if they try something new, particularly if an operator has just added a new destination to their programme.
  • Consider a cruise – an all-inclusive way to see more than one amazing destination with built in food and drink. There are so many new ships now that you can find bargains galore as operators fight to fill rooms.
  • Book early to secure hotels – Many hotels bookable through Travelzoo are available on a voucher system so it pays to buy early and use at a later date. This enables consumers to secure their desired hotels at the best possible price.
