Residents across the UK will be coming together to lend a hand and take part in The Big Help Out to mark the King’s Coronation in May.
Communities across the Caerphilly county borough can get involved in a number of ways:
- Join the national campaign – The Big Help Out websites provides lots of information and advice about getting involved – https://thebighelpout.org.uk
- Local volunteering opportunities – The council’s Caerphilly Cares Team can provide advice about the various ways local people can help out in their community. Contact 01443 811490 or email CaerphillyCares@caerphilly.gov.uk to find out how you can get involved.
- Coronation Clean Up – If you would like to make a right royal effort to make our county borough fit for a king, you may want to organise a local litter pick or community clear up. If so, you can acquire equipment from one of the network of litter hubs distributed across the county borough. To find your nearest hub please go to Litter Picking Hubs – Keep Wales Tidy – Caru Cymru email Andy King at Keep Wales Tidy Andrew.King@keepwalestidy.cymru or call 07824 504792.
- Our partners at Gwent Association of Voluntary Organisations (GAVO) also have lots of useful information about volunteering opportunities on their website – https://www.gavo.org.uk
