GAME has teamed up with Microsoft to do some good for gamers and the planet, with the release of the Minecraft Legends Deluxe Edition for Xbox Series X and Xbox One.
The highly anticipated Minecraft Legends Deluxe Edition launched in April and for every copy sold through GAME from 18th April through to 24th April 2023, GAME will plant a tree via One Tree Planted, a non-profit organisation focused on global reforestation. Whether it’s via the GAME website or in stores, gamers who purchased the game through that period, will have a tree planted on their behalf.
Minecraf Legends invites gamers to experience an epic legend from within the Minecraft universe, the likes of which have never been seen before! Defend the Overworld from the fierce Piglins, forming alliances with new friends and familiar faces as you challenge your friends or team up together to defend your village and lead your units to destroy your opponents’ settlements. The deluxe edition features 6 additional in-game skins: 1 hero, 4 mounts, and an additional mount skin when it becomes available.
Commenting on the promotion, Nick Arran, Managing Director for GAME said:
“As the UK’s largest entertainment retailer, it means a lot to us to be able to team with both Microsoft and the amazing team at One Tree Planted, to show the good we can do as gamers. Minecraft is a franchise that just keeps giving, so it seems only right that we in retail do our fair share of giving also, and we’re committed to doing good for the community, the planet and of course our customers.”
Since 2014, One Tree Planted has more than doubled the number of trees planted each year, working with partners across more than 80 countries and planting more than 92.7 million trees to date. One Tree Planted is dedicated to making it easier for both individuals and businesses to give back to the environment, helping in reforestation efforts and creating a healthier climate while protecting biodiversity.
