It’s time to hang up the bunting, as UK holiday park operator Away Resorts reveals an exciting line-up of events for the Coronation Bank Holiday Weekend, including live entertainment, themed activities, tasty treats and much more!

With 25 beautiful resorts across the country, Away Resorts showcases the very best of British – from glorious countryside to stunning coastlines.

Now the staycations operator is encouraging Brits to finish work early and treat themselves to a Great British getaway where they can celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III in style.

Over the course of the Bank Holiday weekend, guests will enjoy royalty-themed quizzes, bake-offs, and fancy-dress parties where everyone is invited to don the red, white and blue of the Union Jack! There are lots of activities for the kids too, including patriotic arts and crafts, dog shows and treasure hunts.

Hot Tub Holiday

For a classic British bite, guests can enjoy a delicious cream tea, complete with freshly cut sandwiches and Victoria sponge, or raise a glass to the King by trying a Coronation-themed cocktail.

Resorts will also broadcast the Coronation Ceremony and Royal Concert on big screens and encourage guests to get involved in The Big Help Out on Monday 8th May, where volunteers will help to keep our glorious British landscapes clean and tidy.

Commenting on the event’s line-up, Away Resorts CEO Carl Castledine said: “Our parks have always been places for families to come together and enjoy the best that Britain has to offer, so the Coronation of King Charles III is a very special date in our calendar. With our fantastic line-up of events and activities, we hope that people will join us to celebrate the Coronation and enjoy a right royal Bank Holiday weekend in style.”
