Bryn Primary School was recently selected for this year’s BBC NOW April Schools Tour! The BBC National Orchestra for Wales performed at Bryn Primary on Thursday 27th April.
A 13 piece orchestra, conductor and presenter played a short concert and ran interactive activities with pupils, helping them to get to know the instruments of the orchestra and have fun!
All content of this exciting visit is linked to the New Curriculum for Wales with the aim to engage and inspire pupils in the expressive arts, essential to developing artistic skills and knowledge, enabling pupils to become curious and creative individuals.
Jodi Khan, Head Teacher of Bryn Primary said: “Our pupils were truly inspired by such an interactive and engaging performance! Thank you to the BBC National Orchestra for Wales! We are thrilled to be part of the BBC NOW tour!”
Cllr Elizabeth Aldworth, Mayor of Caerphilly Council commented: “It was delightful to see the children so excited and enthusiastic towards the performance. A big thank you to the BBC Orchestra for a fabulous show.”
