Christopher Elgafari has been charged with the murder of Mark Lang.
Mr Lang, 54, died April 15 at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, following an incident in the North Road area of Cathays, Cardiff, on Tuesday, March 28.
Elgafari from Llanrumney, is remanded in custody and is due to appear at Cardiff Magistratesā Court today (Friday, May 5).
The 31-year-old, who was previously charged with attempt murder, was further arrested, and subsequently charged with murder following consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service.
Mr Langās family have been updated and continue to be supported by a family liaison officer.
