The Fire Authority and other Statutory Partners have now approved for publication, all six Well-being plans and these can now be viewed and accessed on our website Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015 – Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service (mawwfire.gov.uk)
The Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015 is directed at improving the social, economic, environmental and cultural well-being of Wales. In order to fulfil these objectives, the Act established Public Services Boards (PSBs) for each local authority area in Wales.
Each Public Services Board (PSB) has published a plan which aims to improve well-being for all people and communities in their County. The Act ensures that Public Sector organisations consider the long-term impact of their decisions to give current and future generations a good quality of life. The Act also ensures that the challenges faced by Wales, such as climate change, poverty, health inequalities, jobs and growth are tackled by public bodies working together.
The Well-Being Plans set out how public and private sector partners will work together to improve economic, social, environmental and cultural well-being by strengthening joint working across service providers.
The Service remains committed to supporting the delivery of the Well-being Objectives and aims within each Well-being Plan, as well as ensuring we consider the long-term impact of our decisions on the communities we serve.
