Sirhowy Valley Crematorium is inviting families to remember fathers and father-figures next month and has a number of special ways to help them do just that.

On Saturday 17 June, the day before Father’s Day, people are being invited to visit the crematorium between 10am and 2pm for a moment of quiet contemplation in the chapel.

Visitors are also able to use the paper and envelopes provided to write a personal message to their loved one which can be placed inside the Letters to Heaven memorial post box.

As Father’s Day is often a time when many people are thinking more intently about their loved ones and look for ways of remembering them longer term, families can also take advantage of a very special offer.

The crematorium is offering 10% off all new memorial purchases, including their personalisation (if purchased in the same transaction) between 1 June and 2 July 2023.

The offer is available towards the entire purchase, including the lease of a memorial plot, a memorial itself as well as its personalisation (terms and conditions apply), ensuring that families are able to benefit from the contribution across all elements of their new memorial purchase and choose a memorial that truly reflects their loved one.

Sirhowy Valley Crematorium is part of Westerleigh Group, one of the UK’s largest independent owners and operators of crematoria and cemeteries, with 37 sites in England, Scotland, and Wales, all set within beautifully landscaped gardens of remembrance which provide pleasant, peaceful places for people to visit and reflect.

Jon Deacon, Manager at Sirhowy Valley Crematorium, said: “Father’s Day can be a particularly poignant time for those who have lost their dad or father-figure.

“More and more people are discovering that our crematorium is not just somewhere they come to in order to attend a service but is a fitting place to visit whenever they wish to remember their lost loved ones.

“Specific days such as Father’s Day are times when emotions can come to the fore, and when losses can be felt more than at other times, so we hope that visiting us will bring comfort to those who need it.

“And, of course, if they are thinking of creating a more permanent memorial, our special offer can also help make their ideas become a reality and provide a unique and personal tribute to any loved one they have lost.”
