Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service (MAWWFRS) will be at Eisteddfod yr Urdd in Llandovery next week from 29th May – 3rd June 2023.

Come visit our stand – number 68 – 69, there will be a variety of fire safety information available and lots of activities to take part in throughout the week. You’ll have the opportunity to chat to our Community Safety team, sign up for our free Home Fire Safety checks as well as get great advice around Water Safety, Summer Safety and much, much more. Sbarc, the Service mascot will be making an appearance throughout the week too!

A reminder too, that on Tuesday 30th May, we’ll be launching StayWiseCymru – a new website that brings together educational resources of blue light emergency services and organisations, which have been designed to the new curriculum in Wales. A great opportunity to find out more, about this brand-new website and what it has to offer.

Head of Community Safety, Richard Felton said:

“We’re very pleased and excited to announce, with help from the NFCC and key safety Partners we will be launching the StayWiseCymru website and bringing it to the Urdd Eisteddfod this year in Llandovery. The StayWiseCymru website is a recently completed online resource that brings blue light & Safety focused organisations together with the key aim to share our specific educational knowledge. The StayWiseCymru website has been compiled into three very easily accessible areas, one section is for teachers with a free login area, the second section is for the wider public and the third is for blue light and safety focused organisations. Instead of trying to find critical safety information from the multitude of places, spaces, and online messages the internet offers we now have it all together in one clear place.”

If you’re heading to the Urdd next week and visit our stand, please tag us in any photos you take and follow our social media channels for daily updates FacebookInstagram, and Twitter.

We look forward to seeing you all on the Maes.
