With school holidays officially underway, it’s likely we’ll see more cars on the road as people take trips away and travel the UK for getaways. Richard Evans head of technical services at webuyanycar comments:
“School holidays are a peak time for traffic on the road with people taking day trips and holidays to keep themselves and their family entertained. Our research shows that almost three quarters (72%) of drivers will be travelling to see friends, family or for a staycation over the summer
“For those that have plans to travel throughout the holidays, there are some important things to stay aware of to make the journey as easy as possible. Forward planning can help drivers to avoid congested roads or peak travel times, which can in turn help with reducing their fuel consumption. There also may be road works or speed limit changes along the way so it’s important drivers are vigilant if they’re in new areas, especially if they’re distracted with a full car.
“The most important thing to consider ahead of the school holidays is making sure drivers are prepared so the journey is as stress-free as possible. Our tips for travelling will ensure drivers are ready to get around from A to B safely.”
