Dear Editor,
Scottish company, Bute Energy, have scrapped  their plans for 21 gargantuan 820 ft wind turbines at Moelfre Uchaf near Colwyn Bay.
However, I wonder if a devious political deal was the reason, because local resident ,Non Davies of Llangernyw, myself and a few others ,were so vociferously critical  in the Press across Wales?
Why else did Bute Energy pull out?   After all they have at least  another 20 giant wind farms planned ….right across Wales! They are   Mwdwl Eithin [Conwy]; Esgair Galed; Waun Hesgog; Maesnant; Rhiwlas [Llangurig]; Lan Fawr; Bryn Glas ; Nant Mithil  [Radnor Forest];  Bryn Gilwern; Aberedw; Blaencothi; Nant Ceiment; Garreg Fawr; Tarenni; Nant Aman; Twyn Hywel [Senghennydd]; Llyn Lort; Bryngwyn; Banc Du  and Moel Chwa [Conwy]. All 20 gigantic wind farms have been given Welsh names to make them sound Welsh …..to try and dupe us all……but the Bute Energy developers are from London, Scotland and Romania !! This is a latter-day “Rape of a Fair Country”…… and ALL OF IT  this time ,not just the Valleys !!
Bute Energy also have their “Green Gen Cymru”  pylon line  to link Nant Mithil’s monsters [10 miles from England] to Pont Abraham, Carmarthen, then on to the Pembroke pylon line to power ENGLAND …….. and also to link with many of the above planned wind farms!!
None of these wind farms will power Wales !!  We have too much electricity already!
It was public protests alone that stopped Bute at Moelfre Uchaf.  So protest like mad before your area is wrecked !!  820 ft wind turbines will be clearly visible from 30 miles. Their huge blade diameters equal Blackpool Tower[520ft] ! Check Gridwatch.co.uk  for wind energy facts. Note the 2022 graph.  How on Earth can that be powering the UK without 100pc backing from  gas-fired power stations?
More people also need to buy the newspapers of Wales to find out what’s happening locally.  London papers won’t tell you!!
Yours faithfully,
