Aberglasney – set to indulge your senses with its first ever Food and Drink Fair

Aberglasney is set to indulge all your senses next month when it holds its first Food & Music Fair in the beautiful surroundings of the Gardens. The weekend-long event will be a celebration of locally produced food and drink, with the entertainment being provided by music artists from around west Wales.

On Saturday and Sunday, 9 & 10 September, the Gardens will be transformed into a foodie paradise with a variety of stalls selling locally produced cakes, doughnuts, chutneys, chocolate, wine and spirits, as well as ‘on-the-go’ food and drink vendors. There will also be Aberglasney’s very own Tearooms.

Jim Stribling, Aberglasney’s Director of Operations, said, “Visitors will be able to experience the taste and sound of west Wales as well as enjoy the beauty of the Gardens at our first ever Food & Music Fair.”

The Fair will be open each day from 10am until 6pm. Entrance to the event will be £10 per person with no separate entrance fee to the Gardens. Aberglasney members are admitted to the Food & Music Fair free of charge as part of their membership package. Parking will be at the Gardens with additional parking available in adjoining fields.  During the Fair children will be able to play a variety of lawn games and take part in the Aberglasney Tree Trail to learn more about which trees call the gardens their home.

Appearing on the music main stage will be Saxy Brass and Old Stratford on the Saturday and on the Sunday the main acts will be No Mean Biscuit and The Flyrites. There will also be a variety of local choirs, the Guitar Duo, Wandering Minstrel and a sax soloist to keep visitors entertained over the weekend.
