Llanwenog Community Council has raised over £500 for the Chemotherapy Day Unit at Bronglais Hospital.

The Community Council has 11 elected Councillors, covers eight villages and forms the Parish of Llanwenog.

A group of over 50 people took part in the Llanwenog Community Council annual walk to raise the funds.

Gwennan Jenkins, Llanwenog Community Council Clerk, said: “The walk was a lot of fun and very informative. We walked across the Gorsgoch Gors and learnt about the history of the village.

“We chose to raise funds for the unit as a number of residents within the Parish have been affected by cancer in recent years and have benefitted from the service.”

Nicola Llewelyn, Head of Hywel Dda Health Charities, the official charity of Hywel Dda University Health Board, said: “The support of our local communities enables us to provide services over and above what the NHS can provide in the three counties of Hywel Dda and we are extremely grateful for every donation we receive.”
