First Ever Fishguard Bay Food and Drink Festival
Everyone’s invited to Fishguard’s first ever food and drink festival to celebrate all of our
delicious food grown and cooked locally.
From Saturday 21st October culminating on Saturday 4th November, join us for a festival
packed with family-friendly celebrations of the land with food stalls, chef demonstrations and street theatre. For the young and young at heart. For those who love nature, farming and growing or just love to eat drink and be merry among friends and family. Join us for a
Progressive Supper, learn about the Fishguard Dish and come along to the traditional Cawl
Crawl.
Event Coordinator James explains how ‘’we’re establishing the first ever Food and Drinks
festival in Fishguard, and can’t wait for you to join us. Check out the packed programme of
events and stand by to be blown away as we deliver the unexpected’’.
The fun starts with free entrance on Saturday 21st October from 10am till 4pm, at Ysgol Bro Gwaun Secondary School where we’ll be celebrating local producers of food stuffs and
beverages made by our community, sampling from the student run pop up café and being
treated to talks and cooking demo’s by local chefs.
You’re also invited to join us for a special drink event at Ffwrn on Friday 27 October, 6pm till 11pm where the wonderful beer, spirit and wine producers from the local area present their drinks and tell you their stories. You can buy and take away your favourite tipple as well as stay for tapas, nibbles and live entertainment.
At the heart of what we are doing is the Fishguard Dish. Each of our participating eateries
have sourced seasonal produce from local farmers, growers and producers to create their
representation of what is best or special about our area.
There is something for all the family with a children’s art competition on the theme of ‘my
favourite food’ and ‘harvest time in Pembrokeshire’, and throughout the fortnight there is a
free to enter display in St Mary’s, as Fishguard invites you to think about how food and faith intertwine.
