The Country Food Trust (CFT) is thrilled to launch its fifth annual Winter Appeal, aimed at raising essential funds to provide nutritious, protein-rich meals to those facing food insecurity during the challenging winter months. Organisations that The Country Food Trust supports in Wales include:

Food insecurity is still on the rise as the cost of living crisis bites for a second winter. The Country Food Trust, a registered charity, remains committed to alleviating this by delivering high protein nutritious meals in ambient pouches to those in need.

The Country Food Trust’s CEO, SJ Hunt, commented: “There is unlimited demand for our high protein ambient meals. Every pound donated through the Winter Appeal goes towards producing and distributing these fantastic meals to help feed people in need. Your generosity will make a difference to those facing food insecurity.”

Countryn Food Trust CEO SJ Hunt

Adam Henson, a patron for The Country Food Trust, said: “More people than ever are living in food insecurity and on behalf of the CFT, I urge people to please give generously this winter as we look to distribute as many meals as possible.”

Protein is the most important food group for human health, but it is also the most expensive, which is why people with stretched finances reduce this food group first. Our meals provide that essential nutrition to improve the health and well-being of those most affected by food insecurity. Your support of the Winter Appeal will make a substantial difference in helping to feed people in need.
