The National Grid – Community Matters Fund has awarded Llanelli LGBTQ+ Support £2,000 to help them support the Llanelli LGBTQIA+ Community this winter
The grant will enable Llanelli LGBTQ+ to:
Run coffee mornings and evening socials where which will be a safe Warm Bank for the LGBTQIA+ Community.
- Provide information on energy efficiency, and winter fuel schemes.
- Provide internet access and digital inclusion support for service users.
- Provide some winter packs to help people keep warm, or cut down on their bills.
Lawrence Williams, chair said:
“We’d like to thank the National Grid – Community Matters Fund – Fuel Poverty 2023 for awarding this money which will help us provide valuable support to the local LGBTQ+ Community.”
“Coffee mornings and evening socials will be running regularly and people can either call in, or contact us for information.“
The project is based in CETMA Llanelli, Marsh St, Llanelli, SA15 1BG and will be running till the end of March 2024.
Llanelli LGBTQ+ Support Group helps the LGBTQ+ Community and their families across the electoral ward of Llanelli. This includes the areas of Pembrey/Burry Port, Kidwelly, Pontyberem, Llannon, Cross Hands, and Hendy.
