Families looking for some travel inspiration this spring can now make family-sized savings on the cost of rail travel by using specially-designed tickets.
A GWR Family ticket between Exeter and Bath is just £34, a 24% saving on the equivalent separate Advance Purchase fares if travelling with two children, and as much as 43% if travelling with four kids.
Tickets from Reading to Plymouth are available from £71, saving 28% off the equivalent Advance Purchase fares travelling with two children, or 46% if travelling with four.
London to Truro is available from just £99.50, a 22% saving for those with two children, and a whopping £72.50 or 42% if travelling with four not so little ones.
The Family ticket allows two adults and up to four children to travel on a single rail ticket, saving on the costs of the equivalent four or six Advance purchase fares for the group. Tickets are only valid for the train booked, and for single journeys.
