Carmarthenshire County Council is proud to announce Tîm Tacluso, a new initiative aimed at enhancing the cleanliness and appearance of our town centres.

The project includes a comprehensive programme of works, including the removal of graffiti and fly posters, pressure washing assets, concourse cleansing, weed removal, fresh paint application, and other relevant cleansing activities.

Tîm Tacluso have started their work at Notts Square in Carmarthen’s town centre, showcasing their Concourse Cleansing service, designed to elevate the overall presentation of our urban spaces.

The concourse cleansing service has also successfully taken place in the Park Street and Stepney Street areas in Llanelli.

Specialised tidying teams will be undertaking various duties, beyond typical cleaning activities by cleansing or highways teams, to deep-clean designated town centres.

The initiative will start its operations by concentrating on the primary trio of towns – Carmarthen, Llanelli, and Ammanford, before broadening its reach in the coming months and expanding into our 10 market towns across Carmarthenshire.

The schedule of works can be found here on Carmarthenshire County Councils website .

The work will contribute to Carmarthenshire County Council’s aim of managing and maintaining key infrastructure assets that include highway, drainage, street scene and local amenity assets.

Cllr Edward Thomas, Carmarthenshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Transport, Waste and Infrastructure Services said:

The new Tîm Tacluso initiative will improve the presentation of our town centres, keeping Carmarthenshire looking its best for all residents and visitors.

The team will provide effective services when cleansing and maintaining town centres, which will provide a huge boost to local communities.”
