SeatPick can reveal that Newcastle United fans are the most foul-mouthed, with a score of 9.4 out of 10. Newcastle fans use an average of 42.8 swear words per 100 comments, and 33.6% of comments are negative. Newcastle are on track to finish eighth in this year’s campaign, and fans are desperate for more as their anger towards other teams has been made evident on social media.
In second place is West Ham United, with a swearing fan score of 8.3 out of 10. Although West Ham have a slightly lower average of swear words per 100 comments than first place (37.6), they do however have a similar percentage of negative comments per post (32.8%). However, they have won their last two games which may have swayed fan opinion towards players.
Nottingham Forest have the third sweariest fans with a score of 8.1 out of 10. Nottingham Forest are struggling in 17th position in the 23/24 Premier League season, which may be why fans have been so disappointed this year (with 32.2 % of their comments and posts being negative)
Everton have the fourth highest foul-mouthed fans, scoring 7.5/10 (average of 35.8 swear words per 100 comments/ posts). Everton have also had a tough campaign this year and could potentially get relegated from the Premier League, having lost or drawn the last five games.
In fifth place is Manchester United with a swearing fan score of 6.7/10 (2.6 lower than Newcastle United). Man United fans have been very prominent on social media this year, with many criticising Rashford’s commitment to the team, however this has been challenged with his recent goal on Sunday.
