From Mr Ioan Richard, 23 Mountain Rd., Craigcefnparc, Swansea SA65RH
SOLAR ENERGY a serious question :-
Can you get a briefing on SOLAR PANELS as regards hectares of panels in so called ‘Solar Parks’ in rural areas of Wales that are frequently washed to improve their limited effectiveness. As a retired County Councillor of many years sitting on Planning Committees (in your home area Felindre / Mawr Swansea) I know that no conditions or inspections are imposed as to the standards of detergents used. This can cause large voluminous chemical solution run offs into local streams and watercourses with possible harmful unknown effects. Can you then publicise your findings.
It is all rather ‘blasphemous’ these days to criticise ‘green’ energy despite valid serious issues such as those above that could arise.
I think the appropriate term in some of these circumstances should be “it’s all whitewash!”.
Llongyfarchiadau i chi fel un o ‘Llwyth Edmwnt o Gwmcerdinen” am ennill y ‘Swydd YNNI’ yn y Senedd.
Yn gywir, dros Gymru, Ioan Richard
