Comparing UK music festival ticket costs to those in Europe, new research from online travel agent, loveholidays, has revealed European festival tickets can be up to 51% cheaper on average than their UK counterparts*, potentially saving Brits up to £100.

With searches for ‘festivals this summer’ up by 190%** and rising ticket prices in the UK, those looking to get their festival fix may be in with the chance of finding more affordable alternatives abroad.

The travel experts go on to identify some of the most affordable top festivals in Europe, along with the cost of flights and accommodation, revealing the average cost of the entire experience.

Top UK festivals can demand prices of upto £360.00. Meanwhile, across Europe, renowned festivals such as Primavera Sound in Barcelona, Benicássim near Valencia, and Nuit Sonores in Lyon offer impressive line-ups at a fraction of the cost, starting as low as £37.00.

The cheapest festival to attend in Europe is Nuit Sonores, despite weekend tickets being sold out, electronic music lovers can purchase day tickets throughout the weekend from £24 – £37. Along with Bout du Monde, even with the ticket, flight and accommodation included, attending these festivals is still cheaper than the average UK ticket price.
