Llanfynydd Young Farmers Club has raised £1,000 for the Chemotherapy Day Unit and £1,000 for the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) at Glangwili Hospital.

Llanfynydd YFC has around 40 members ranging from the age of 10 to 28.

Carys Morgan, member of the YFC, said: “We raised the funds by carol singing over the festive period in 2022 and 2023. We go every year to raise money and we enjoy every second of it.

“We had a past member who had benefited from the Special Care Baby Unit and a mother of one of our members benefited from the Chemotherapy Unit at Glangwili.

“We would like to thank the community for their generosity.”

Nicola Llewellyn, Head of Hywel Dda Health Charities, the official charity of Hywel Dda University Health Board, said: “We’d like to say a big thank you to Llanfynydd YFC for their fantastic fundraising for Glangwili Hospital.

“The support of our local communities enables us to provide services over and above what the NHS can provide in the three counties of Hywel Dda and we are extremely grateful for every donation we receive.”
