Responding to doubts over Conservative plans for electrification of the North Coast Mainline, Welsh Liberal Democrat Leader Jane Dodds MS said:
“As the previously promised than cancelled electrification of the South Wales mainline to Swansea showed us, Conservative promises to Wales aren’t worth the paper they are written on.
The Liberal Democrats will ensure rail funding is devolved to Wales and that Wales receives the consequential funding it deserves from projects like HS2 and Northern Powerhouse Rail.”
