Responding to the news that local Conservative Senedd Member for Montgomeryshire & Glyndwr Russell George will still back disowned Conservative candidate Craig Williams, Welsh Liberal Democrat Leader Jane Dodds MS said:
“The Conservatives have completely lost control of their own party as their general election campaign completely disintegrates.
The public are completely exasperated with the constant sleaze and scandal from the Conservatives, let alone with the fact they never learn from any of it.
In Mid Wales the choice is clear between the Liberal Democrats and scandal ridden Conservative Party. Every vote for the Welsh Liberal Democrats on July 4th is a vote to restore integrity and trust to our politics and to kick the Conservatives out of Wales.”
