With school holidays almost officially underway, it’s likely more people will be taking trips away in the car and travelling around the UK for getaways. Richard Evans head of technical services at webuyanycar comments:

“School holidays are a peak time for traffic on the road with people taking day trips and holidays to keep themselves and their family entertained. Our research shows that 91% of Brits believe the UK has some wonderful places for a holiday on home turf with 70% planning a UK-based holiday this year, so it’s important to check their car is ready for the journeys.

“By setting aside time to check everything in the vehicle is working correctly, especially before setting off on a long journey, it can give drivers peace of mind to get around. Topping up the engine oil and other fluids in the car will help avoid any breakdowns. And ensuring that tyre tread is within the safe range will keep drivers ready for the roads.

“One of the most important things for drivers to consider for the summer holidays is making sure they’re prepared so the journey is as stress-free as possible. Using our guide on the quietest times to drive, drivers can ensure they’re planned and prepped for their journeys.”
