Zak Ali from Together Travel, who analysed the data, said: “one of the best things about a holiday is how flexible you can be with it.

“Many times, we get wrapped up in where to go, what to do, and when to go, but we often take for granted who to go with.

“Next time you’re planning a holiday, take a step back and think, actually, could we bring our parents with us, or our grandkids, or spilt the holiday with our friends or colleagues.

“It’s so lovely to see people branching out and bringing others with them on holiday – there’s something special about sharing your favourite destination with loved ones or exploring a new place together.”
