August 1, 2024 – Thirdverse, Inc., a leading VR development studio and publisher, launched the release of the sixth major update, the “Toy Box Update,” for its popular 5v5 VR multiplayer hero shooter, ‘X8’. Building on the success of previous updates, this latest release introduces groundbreaking features and improvements that continue to elevate X8’s status as a premier VR hero shooter.

New Features in the Latest Major Update:

• Toy Box: Introducing a variety of playful yet strategic toys that enhance interaction and gameplay in VR. The Toy Box includes:
  • Mimic Box: Allows players to grab and respawn various items.
  • Slap Stick: Foam Hand on a stick for unique melee interactions.
  • Bonk Hammer: Squeaky Hammer for a fun, yet effective combat tool.
  • Weapon Skin: Squirt Gun, adding a whimsical touch to battles.
  • Activation Toy: Chibi Characters, activated by a shake button, adding a delightful twist to gameplay.
  • Affix: Slow Fall Wings, activated from the shoulder pocket for gliding.
