As pupils across Carmarthenshire prepare to receive their GCSE this week, Carmarthenshire County Council is reminding all students intending to return to Sixth Form to secure their school transport arrangements as soon as possible.

Students who need to continue use the council’s school transport services and plan to continue their studies in Sixth Form must contact the Learner Travel team to ensure their bus passes are issued in time for the start of the new academic year. To avoid any delays, please email LearnerTravel@carmarthenshire.gov.uk as soon as your plans are confirmed.

Applications for college transport should be made through the college.

Cllr Glynog Davies, Cabinet Member for Education and Welsh Language said:

Many students will be eagerly anticipating returning to the Sixth Form and it is very important that the correct transport arrangements are in place to best support our learners as they take this next important and exciting step in their educational journey.

We want to make sure that all our students can start the new term without any transportation issues. If you’re returning to Sixth Form and need school transport, please get in touch with us promptly so we can arrange your bus pass in good time.”
