Azets, the international advisory, outsourcing and compliance Group, has welcomed 333 new graduates and school leavers across its UK business in the past 12 months, with 201 joining in Autumn 2024. 65 of those from the 2024 intake will be based in the Central and West region, where Azets has offices in Birmingham, Blandford Forum, Bristol, Cardiff, Coventry, Evesham, Gloucester, Launceston, Nottingham, Plymouth, Shrewsbury, South Molton, Swansea, Tamworth, Truro, Walsall and Wolverhampton.
In total, Azets UK will have 817 colleagues studying towards a professional qualification.
Investment in the next generation of talented business advisors is a key strategy for Azets, as it continues to deepen its specialist expertise and expand its high-quality advisory services to ambitious businesses and their owners across all UK regions.
Azets offers a varied career path for early careers professionals, with the option to work across different parts of the country and to develop specialist skills in diverse areas of accounting and business advisory, from general practice and tax to corporate finance, trade, and restructuring.
As part of the international Azets Group, Azets UK also offers opportunities to collaborate with colleagues and clients across Europe.
The school leaver route at Azets UK is a six-year programme which includes two apprenticeship programmes leading to the student becoming qualified in their AAT and then moving onto their chartered accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CTA or ICAS).
The graduate route is a three- or four-year programme where students study toward their chartered accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CTA or ICAS).
An apprenticeship with Azets and its training partners provides a bespoke programme that combines qualifications, skills, and behaviours training. Everyone gets a talent coach, and each new student gets a buddy and a substantial amount of on-the-job training, giving them the opportunity to pave a career path for life.
Agata Czop, joined Azets UK as an apprentice in 2023 and is now an Associate in its national tax practice. She said: “The early careers programme at Azets has been a transformative experience for me. From day one, I’ve been supported with on-the-job training, mentorship, and the opportunity to pursue professional qualifications. The hands-on experience, combined with the guidance from experienced colleagues, has allowed me to grow both professionally and personally. I’m proud to be part of a team that is dedicated to delivering exceptional service to our clients and to be part of a company that invests so much in its people.”
Damien Russell, Azets UK Chief People Officer commented: “At Azets, we believe that nurturing young talent is fundamental to the future of our business and the success of our clients. Welcoming 333 new graduates and school leavers this year is a testament to our commitment to building a diverse and dynamic workforce.
