To celebrate the incredible contributions of volunteers and inspire more people to get involved, Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority is excited to host the Freshwater East Public Volunteering Day as part of the National Parks Big Volunteer Weekend on Saturday, 21 September.
From 10am to 3pm, participants of all ages and abilities are invited to join practical conservation activities at Freshwater East. Volunteers will have the opportunity to clear invasive sea buckthorn, improve beach access, join a litter pick, and learn how to identify and record bees and butterflies. This event offers a hands-on way to engage with nature and support conservation efforts in the stunning coastal landscape.
Rebecca Evans, Volunteering Development Officer at Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority said: “Volunteering is a fantastic way to not only help care for the incredible landscapes in our National Parks but also to spend time outdoors, pick up new skills, and meet great people. It’s as rewarding for individuals as it is for the environment, with both benefiting from the effort.
“We’d love for anyone interested to get involved and help protect these beautiful places. Whether you join for a day or decide to sign up for more, your contribution will leave a lasting impact.”
To register interest and learn more about the events, individuals should email volunteering@pembrokeshirecoast.org.uk.
