Retro School Dinners Brits Wish Would Make a Comeback
A new study by Alliance Online finds the most missed childhood favourites
Whether you loved them or loathed them, childhood school dinners are a nostalgic trip down memory lane.
To reminisce on what school dinner Brits miss the most, a new study from Alliance Online has ranked the top 30 school dinner favourites, according to how many Brits are still pining for them, to see if there are differentiating trends around the UK.
Trifle came out on top as the most memorable school dinner staple, with 33,100 Brits searching every month.
This is closely followed by rice pudding in second place and pinella upside-down cake in third, both boasting 27,100 monthly searches across the UK.
Despite them being banned for almost 20 years, the renowned turkey twizzlers rank ninth for what Brits miss the most, with 12,100 Brits still searching for them.
Even though square pizza is the 10th most popular school dinner staple across the UK, it ranks as number one in Wales.
