If you are like me and you love Blackjack, you will know about all the tips and tricks that will result in you winning more money. However, you only learn these with time and for all you new blackjack players who don’t know how to play or don’t know how to give yourself the best chance of winning, this is the page for you.
However, this isn’t just for inexperienced players, you could have some Blackjack experience and want a refresher. At the end of the day, we are all trying to do the same thing and that is to win some money.
Below, I will show you which Blackjack strategies to consider before your next quest to play online blackjack in the UK and also how to use these strategies. Hopefully, my experience will allow me to offer some good help.
The Hard 11
If you have never played Blackjack before you may know what this means, but, for the inexperienced players doubling down on the hard 11 means when you get an 11, you double your money.
But why? Well not only does this give you a better chance of winning, but it also gives you a better chance of winning MORE. Who wouldn’t want to win as much money as possible? This gives you a good chance at that so if you get an 11, make sure you take advantage of this.
Standing Between 13-16
If you play blackjack, even once, you will know that the 13-16 range is a dangerous one, especially when you hit a 15 or 16. The general consensus here is when you get in this range you need to play with caution and be wary that things may not go your way. As much as I think 13 and 14 are risky, I would usually hit and then cross my fingers (and toes) in the hopes the Blackjack gods are on my side.
On 15 and 16, because the range of cards you can get that can ruin your day is so much smaller, I would stick. Sometimes the dealer may whip out something ridiculously lucky and other times, you will win because they bust. Hopefully, it is the latter.
The Ace 7
Getting Ace as your first card is usually a sign that something good is about to happen. If you get an Ace and the dealer gets a 9, a 10 or an Ace, at that point you’re the underdog. So when the seven comes out, you may assume that sticking is the best option. However, the general rule of thumb is that when you have an Ace-7, you hit.
Ignore The Insurance Bet
When the dealer gets an Ace, they will likely offer you an insurance bet, even if you are on a good hand like 19 or 20. This means that you place a side bet that will protect your original wager in case the dealer pulls out a Blackjack. On paper, this might seem like a good deal but it is almost like betting that the dealer will have a Blackjack but at lower odds.
Risking a loss makes more sense because the payoff of the insurance bet is 2 to 1, which is less than the chances of the dealer having a blackjack.
Overall Tips
These Strategies are good to know to increase your chances of winning or keeping your money. But like other casino games or sports betting, like football, it is pure luck. Compared to other types of betting, however, Blackjack gives you a slight bit more control and if you use these strategies you might be able to succeed in the long run.
