The best location for wedding-related businesses in the UK is Carmarthen
Carmarthen, South Wales offers 438 locations where couples can choose for their ceremonies to be held, boasting an impressive 19 locations available per vendor. This high demand and minimal vendor presence create a golden opportunity for new wedding catering businesses to enter the market and establish a strong foothold.
In second place is London, boasting 4,405 ceremony locations, meaning there is 11.3 per vendor. St Ives comes third with the seaside town where vendors can expect 10.5 locations each.

Carmarthen also tops the list as the best location for entertainment vendors
Keswick, St Ives, Carmarthen and Grassington also make up the top three places for wedding florists, caterers and cake specialists. These locations all boast a large number of locations where couples can choose to hold their civil service or wedding, with low numbers of suppliers across these offerings, meaning they could be perfect locations for wedding vendors to expand into, or set up a business in.
Alex Miles from Capital on Tap shares tips on how to succeed as a wedding vendor:
“Starting and growing a wedding business in the UK can be a rewarding yet challenging venture. Seasonal demand and competition are just some of the obstacles that business owners might face. But there are ways to navigate this.
“Fluctuations in demand can make financial management tricky. It’s important to forecast and have a financial plan – leveraging peak seasons can help with this. Using a business credit card can also help to give some financial wiggle room and support with cash flow.
“Make sure you’re also showcasing your work by using high-quality visuals and client testimonials in your marketing content. Engaging content and a professional online presence can significantly boost your brand visibility and attract more clients.”
