An old photo above of a Wind Turbine Blade being transported.
Compare it’s length to the height of the lamp posts alongside it (and trees further back). Most UK street light columns in the UK vary from 5 to 12 metres high, or forty feet tall max.. So by comparison the blade below must be about 150 ft long (max). The new generation of many hundreds of Wind Turbines for Wales will be 820 ft high to be delivered to remote uplands of scenic Wales.
Their blades will be at least 260 ft long – three per Wind Turbine.
The tall steel towers can come in sections, yet still be massive, but the thousands of blades must come complete at nearly twice the size as shown below. This will necessitate straightening rural Welsh roads by removing miles and miles of hedges from the countryside and also crossing and trashing as many fields as possible and compulsory purchase of many homes / buildings. When all this is done they will Pylons to take out the erratic power and many fields used to house giant LiFP battery complexes ready for windless days. It’s all mad, but it is coming soon, as both Wales and UK Government are set upon doing it, for Wales to power England. All in a rush to ‘net zero’ and Welsh Government proclaiming little Wales can be in the forefront of preventing global climate change forgetting the existence of USA, China and India and such huge countries.
