Plaid Cymru MS for South Wales Central, Heledd Fychan, has written to the Welsh Government ‘Trefnydd’ Jane Hutt and Cabinet Secretary for Climate Change, Huw Irranca-Davies MS, requesting an urgent statement in response to the flooding affecting several parts of Wales in the wake of Storm Bert.

Heledd Fychan MS, who represent Pontypridd and neighbouring communities which have been badly affected, has said that lessons have clearly not been learnt since Storm Ciara, Dennis and Jorge struck in 2020, and is asking the Welsh Government to bring forward a sustainable plan for flood defences as a matter of urgency.
