Lovell Homes to showcase available schemes by hosting event at sought-after Haverfordwest development

Leading developer Lovell Homes is hosting a new homes event at its Augustus Grange development in Haverfordwest this weekend, to provide home seekers with independent free mortgage advice and explain the homebuying schemes on offer.

Augustus Grange, located off St David’s Road, is a mixed tenure development being delivered with Pobl Group and providing a total of 115 two and three-bedroom homes, just six miles from the stunning Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.

36 of the homes are available for open market sale and 79 are affordable homes, with 37 available to purchase through Shared Ownership and 42 for affordable rent. With Shared Ownership, homebuyers can purchase a minimum share of 50 per cent of their chosen home and pay rent on the remaining share, allowing them to settle into a new home with a smaller deposit and mortgage. After a year in the home, buyers can then increase their share until they own 100 per cent of the property. 

The event is taking place on Saturday 15^th and Sunday 16^th February, and will allow property seekers to tour the Lambourne style showhome and Lansdown view home, and learn about Lovell Homes’ schemes, which have been designed to make moving home easier and more affordable. An independent mortgage advisor from ABP Mortgages will also be on hand to offer free mortgage advice.

A range of homebuying schemes are currently available on selected properties at Augustus Grange, including Help to Buy Wales, Helping Hands and Part Exchange, as well as Lovell Homes’ Key Workers  and Armed Forces Discounts. Buyers could also benefit from having flooring included throughout their new Lovell home*.

Help to Buy Wales is a Government-backed scheme available on properties up to £300,000 and enables buyers to purchase a new build home with just a five per cent deposit. The remainder is made up from a 75 per cent mortgage and a 20 per cent equity loan, which is interest free for the first five years*.

Both Helping Hands and Part Exchange make the process of purchasing a brand-new Lovell home easier for those who already own a property. In both schemes, Lovell will arrange for independent evaluations of the existing property. With the Helping Hands scheme, Lovell then assists with the marketing of the home and reserves the new home once a sale is agreed*. With Part Exchange, Lovell will make an offer on the property and reserve the new home upon acceptance*.

For both the developer’s Key Workers and Armed Forces Discounts, eligible individuals are provided with a £500 discount for every £25,000 spent on their new Lovell home*.
