The event has raised over £2 million since it began in 2007 helping the charity continue to provide lifechanging support to children, young people and families in the UK who need it most.
The quiz will be hosted by sports broadcaster and former professional footballer, Gary Lineker for a second year running. Other famous faces to attend include, Kay Burley, Mark Austin, Charlene White, Denise Welsh, Jane Moore, Mariella Frostrup, Julie Etchingham, Matt Frei, Krishnan Guru-Murthy, Ingrid Oliver and Grayson Perry.
Gary Lineker, said, “I’m excited to be hosting Action for Children’s Ultimate News Quiz once again, with the biggest names in British broadcasting coming together at one of the industry’s favourite events! It will be a fun and competitive evening for a truly important cause. Money raised from the evening will help more children have a safe and happy childhood. Best of luck to all teams competing!”
Last year, BBC Newsnight beat 46 competing news groups and corporate giants including BBC News, ITV News, Channel 4, Channel 5, This Morning, Good Morning Britain, Loose Women, Netflix and Sony to clinch the title.
Sponsored by the Premier League, the funds raised helps Action for Children in its vital work supporting vulnerable children and families in communities across the UK, helping to give more children a safe and happy childhood, and the foundations they need to thrive.
