Ashmole & Co are delighted to announce Jodie Cole, in the Haverfordwest office, has completed her studies and passed all her exams to become a qualified member of the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants).
Jodie, from Kilgetty in Pembrokeshire, joined the Ashmole & Co team as a Trainee in 2020 after gaining her Degree in Business & Management with Finance at Cardiff Metropolitan University.
Day to day, Jodie prepares year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, prepares tax returns, completes VAT returns and assists with audits.
Will Hughes, Partner in Ashmole & Co’s Haverfordwest office said, “We are all so proud of Jodie and her fantastic achievements. She has become an integral part of our team in the Haverfordwest office. It’s been an absolute pleasure to watch her going from strength to strength. Having been educated in Tenby and living in Kilgetty, Jodie has local knowledge that helps her relate to our clients across Pembrokeshire. It is important as a profession that we help to train the next generation of accountants. Qualified staff members are the lifeblood for the future success of our firm.”
A number of staff have achieved ACCA exam success recently including Simone Terry in the Haverfordwest office, Harvey Collins in the Swansea office, Ceirion Harries and Dafydd Saunders in our Ammanford office and Rhys Owen in our Cardigan office.
Ashmole & Co are one of the largest chartered certified accountants in south Wales. The firm has recently launched its Accountancy Apprenticeship Scheme for 2025 and is on the search for new Trainee Accountants to start this summer.
Those interested in training with Ashmole & Co can be school, college or university graduates. Applications will be accepted from those currently studying for their GCSEs, A Levels or Degree. Anyone who is looking for a new career in accountancy and those looking to do an internship during their degree studies are also encouraged to apply. Jodie said, “I would highly recommend being a trainee to anyone considering applying for the Apprenticeship. The most rewarding part of the job is being able to use the skills I’ve acquired from my studies and skills that I’ve learned throughout my training and working with local businesses and helping them with whatever they need. For those looking to apply the skills required to do the job include communication skills, time management and organisational skills, team working skills and the ability to adapt/reschedule workload to meet the needs of clients and their filing deadlines.”
Jodie did her GCSEs and A Levels at Greenhill school, Tenby. She lives with her mother and brother and in her spare time enjoys walking her dogs on the beach, socialising with friends and going to the gym.
