Padstow has long been a haven for food lovers, thanks to the influence of one of Britain’s most celebrated chefs, Rick Stein. This year, the town’s culinary scene is even more vibrant, as 2025 marks the 50th anniversary of The Seafood Restaurant – the iconic establishment that put Padstow on the map.

To announce the 50th year celebration Rick and his son Jack Stein appeared on Saturday Kitchen, sharing their excitement for this milestone year. They discussed the special events planned to celebrate five decades of culinary excellence, from exclusive dinners to behind-the-scenes experiences, all paying homage to the restaurant’s rich history and influence.
If you’ve ever dreamed of immersing yourself in the world of top-tier seafood cookery, there’s no better time to visit Padstow. Oliver Myles is offering a Private Cookery Experience on 14th-15th May 2025 at the acclaimed Rick Stein’s Cookery School. This exclusive event includes expert tuition, hands-on cooking sessions, and, of course, the chance to savour the finest seafood dishes in the very place that inspired Rick’s passion.
Padstow Rick Stein's HometownAfter you arrive in Padstow, enjoy a private tasting menu with wine pairings specially selected by the head sommelier for this dinner at Rick Stein’s Cookery School.
