Cardigan Curiosities are absolutely thrilled to have been awarded the St. David’s Day shop window award by Menter Iaith Ceredigion for the Cardigan division of the competition.

The shops on the High street and in the Guildhall pulled out all the stops for St. Davids day and Cardigan was alive with colour to celebrate the first days of Spring. The event and competition was a celebration of the Welsh language and everyone across Ceredigion who took part, rose to the challenge.

In honour of paying it forward and expressing our gratitude to the wonderful people of our little town and further afield, we are offering the chance to win a stunning piece of local artwork.

This piece is a one of a kind, original watercolour of the nave of St. David’s cathedral.
It was painted by a Pembrokeshire artist and measures 74×95 cm.

To be in the running to win the painting, all you have to do is any of the following:

Visit the Cardigan Curiosities Facebook or Instagram page
Like the compition post on the Cardigan Curiosities page
Comment below the post with your favourite Welsh word!

And remember to follow the page to check if you are the winner of the painting!

On the 20th of March, our Ddraig Goch will be drawing the winner from inside of their dragon egg. The winner will be announced in the evening via our social medias, so keep your eyes peeled!

If you’d like a closer look at the window dragons and the watercolour of the cathedral, Cardigan Curiosities can be found at 32A Cardigan High Street.

We are open this Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 10-5pm
