Next Bond Villain Odds: Rachel Weisz & Colin Farrell New Favourites In Tight Market
- In the men’s market – Colin Farrell is the 11/8 favourite to be the next Bond Villain.
- However, Johnny Depp (6/4), Jude Law (13/8) and Tom Hardy (7/4) all aren’t far behind the Irish actor in the market.
- Multi award-winning actress Rachel Weisz, who also is the wife of former 007 Daniel Craig, is the 13/8 favourite in the women’s market. Next are Jenna Ortega (7/4), Zendaya (9/5) and Rosamund Pike (2/1).
Amazon MGM Studios have wasted no time hiring producers for the next James Bond movie, just weeks after it was revealed the company had gained creative control of the franchise.
Amy Pascal – who is known for producing sports movie Challengers and the last three Spider-Man films – and Harry Potter producer David Heyman have got the nod.
And with the next edition of the 007 franchise expected to hit cinemas before the end of 2027, Gambling.com Entertainment Expert James Leyfield has put together male and female markets on who will play the next Bond Villain:

Craig’s Bond Connection
While Daniel Craig bowed out of his role as 007 in the latest Bond film, 2021’s No Time To Die, he could still have a strong connection to the new movie.
That’s because his wife, multi award-winning actress Rachel Weisz, is the 13/8 favourite to portray a female Bond villain in the motion picture.
She worked alongside Heyman in 2011 political thriller film Page Eight, which also starred Bill Nighy, who is just 2/1 in the men’s Bond Villain market.
Jenna Ortega (7/4) and Amy Adams (9/2) have also worked with Heyman, recently on sci-fi film Klara and the Sun – based on the novel of the same name by Kazuo Ishiguro – which is currently in post-production.
Other ‘baddy’ candidates include Zendaya (9/5), Rosamund Pike (2/1) and Lucy Liu (5/2).

Fantastic Farrell
Colin Farrell has now moved into 11/8 favourite to appear as a Bond villain in the forthcoming film, which is expected to hit cinemas before the end of 2027.
Farrell could certainly be a wise investment in the Bond franchise, and Heyman knows all about him.
The Irish actor appeared as Percival Graves/Gellert Grindelwald in 2016’s Harry Potter spin-off Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, which Heyman produced.
If Jude Law could bring a bit of the “mischief” that Heyman noticed during their time together on the Fantastic Beasts franchise, to James Bond, then he could be the perfect villain.
He is 13/8 to land the role, while Johnny Depp (6/4). Adam Sandler (2/1) and George Clooney (4/1) are also in contention.
Tom Hardy (7/4) is another strong candidate to play our protagonist’s nemesis in the next Bond film. The actor worked with Pascal on Spider-Man: No Way Home and the Venom series, and after some of his previous castings he would bring an interesting dynamic to the role.
