31st March 2025: Lidl is launching two new and exclusive spicy chippy-inspired crisps from longstanding supplier Taylors Snacks, which will be available at stores nationwide from Thursday 3rd April.
Developed in response to consumer demand for nostalgic British takeaway flavours and spicier options*, the range is tipped to ignite shoppers’ tastebuds and will be headlined by a Fiery Pickled Onion and Chip Shop Curry Sauce. The Fiery Pickled Onion is also thought to be a world-first in the crisp category and combines pickled onion with super spicy Carolina Reaper peppers.
Unveiled for the first time alongside a scene reminiscent of a ‘Lidl Fish and Chipper’ including a chippy tea with a generous side of curry sauce, the two new spice sensations will be on sale for £1.25 per bag. The spicy additions will join a further new Taylors flavour – Blazin’ BBQ – which is a must-try for fans of rich and smoky flavours.
Known for their unique and delicious flavours, Taylors Snacks is a fourth-generation household Scottish brand from Perthshire. The new range will be the first time new Taylors Snacks’ crisps will be available to Lidl customers in all GB stores, but crisp fans should get in quick, as the products will be part of Lidl’s limited time Scottish Larder and ‘Limited Offers’ promotions.
