Helzbach

Having lived all my life in the small village of Pwll, a stone’s throw from the famous Stradey Park, rugby has played a big part in my life. I’m a true ‘one-eyed Turk’ and proud of it…I’ve witnessed historical victories, some of the biggest names in rugby and heart break (when we’ve lost against the Ospreys!!) during my love affair with the Scarlets.
Along with the historic season of 1992/93 that saw the Scarlets beat Australia, World Champions at the time, my most memorable day in Stradey was my Wedding Day….the only time a blessing had been held in the ground!
Starting my own business has enabled me to devote more time to both my Scarlets, recently becoming a player sponsor, and this column which has offered me an inside opportunity that I could have only ever imaged! As much as I love rugby, don’t expect un-biased analysis….remember…I’m a true one-eyed Scarlets fan!
