After the update process, you can restore the configurations of the router of which you created the backup. The web interface of the router is used for both the process i.e backup and recovery. First, you need to log in to the router, go to the System tab and from there you can recover the saved configurations. The process can be performed at any time using the dlinkrouter.local management window.

While creating a Guest zone, make sure you are choosing an appropriate frequency band to work upon. Users are highly recommended to assign a unique name to the wireless Guest network with an adequate Wifi password. To enhance the security level of a Guest network you can set the desired security type for it. The Guest zone can be configured conveniently through the dlinkrouter.local interface.
